The Gaslamp Quarter brings you a wide variety of live entertainment.  Professional and local artists fill our venues with their individual styles of music and dynamic talents.  Gaslamp boasts a range of offerings from traditional Irish music to jazz and blues and everything in between.  Here is a complete description of Gaslamp Quarter venues that offer exciting live music.

Croce's Restaurant & Bar - A continuing tribute, honoring Jim Croce and his music.  They keep serving delicious, contemporary American cuisine and hosting live jazz music nightly on the corner of Fifth and F Street - a must see location here in the Gaslamp.  Dick's Last Resort - They have an atmosphere that is unique and they are known for energetic and humorous servers dishing up big buckets of grub. This great entertainment stage features classic rock music every night of the week with no cover charge!  Dublin Square - A taste of Ireland's capital and Europe's most treasured city, Dublin Square is alive right here in the Gaslamp, on 4th Avenue. An Irish themed pub that features various types of live entertainment, along with rollicking Irish music regularly.

The Field Irish Pub - A traditional and authentic Irish pub and restaurant known for its reputation of friendliness and great hospitality. They offer traditional and live Irish music, as well as rock bands on weekends. World famous for being the home bar of Carly Smithson from American Idol, while you won't see her performing there again as her stardom has catapulted her into another musical realm, you may see her when she stops by from time to time.  Look to The Field for Irish dancing, whiskey tasting events, trivia games, and all sporting events.  Hennessey's Tavern - Serving breakfast, lunch, and dinner, Hennessey's offers a remarkable selection of food choices. It's a laid back Irish pub that has special offers throughout the week and live bands on Wednesday, Thursday, Friday, and Saturday nights.

Henry's Pub - At Henry's you can expect good food, good friends and good times. A comfortable place that provides outstanding entertainment for all audiences. Check them out for fun live bands, rowdy karaoke, and weekly resident DJs.  Jimmy Love's - What sets them apart from other venues is their extraordinary American cuisine and Top Gun aviation theme. Every night of the week they showcase San Diego's top bands, ranging from jazz and blues to high energy modern dance.   The Merk Bistro Italiano, located adjacent to the Keating Hotel, is an inspired two-level sophisticated, yet intimate dining establishment that hosts a menu of rustic Italian cuisine with a California twist. Watch for Live Music nights on thier schedule. They'll beckon you to come eat, drink and dance the night away to classic jazz, swing and R&B hits. 

Patrick's II - Patrick’s II holds an intimate atmosphere that has become known as one of the premier blues clubs in San Diego, bringing in talent from all over the country as well as the thriving local music scene. Look for their monthly calendar to see the listing of nightly shows!  Rock Bottom Restaurant & Brewery - A comfortable gathering place for family and friends that provides an energetic and inviting ambiance. Rock Bottom offers live music and dancing every weekend.

Sevilla - A romantic, yet lively restaurant that offers intriguing Spanish cuisine. Enjoy being serenaded by local salsa and merengue musicians in Cafe Sevilla or enjoy salsa and Latin dancing or Spanish rock bands in Sevilla Nightclub.  They also feature Flamenco dinner shows scheduled on Friday, Saturday, and Sunday. The current 4th Avenue location will close at the end of September and the Grand Opening of the beautiful new location on Fifth Avenue will be in Winter 2010.  Stage Saloon - The Stage Saloon was opened by musicians to create a venue perfect for musicians to play music! This funky space has a neighborhood bar vibe and their stage was actually built by the band. They also feature a wallet friendly happy hour!

The Shout! House - A chance to BE the entertainment. The "Dueling Pianos" refer to two piano players performing on face to face Grand pianos performing classic rock 'n roll hits from the 1950s to the present. Guests are encouraged to sing along and have fun with the sometimes naughty variations.  The Tipsy Crow has the luxury of offering different types of entertainment in each of thier three distinct levels. When you descend into their basement lounge you can enjoy the freedom of a secret windowless space with occasional comedy shows and a Singer Songwriter Open Mic and great live bands each Wednesday.  Whiskey Girl - A sports bar that will entertain you in more ways than one. Dance to your favorite music videos mixed by their DJs, watch your favorite sports team on the big screen or jam to their live bands on weeknights. Get in on the crazy Karaoke nights.
